Monitoring and Managing Hydration in Older Adults
Speaker Janet Reid-Hector, EdD, RD will present about interpreting nutrition and hydration related laboratory data. She will also discuss nutrition management of the geriatric client as related to laboratory values. Janet Reid-Hector, EdD, RD, is an assistant professor of Healthcare Management and Leadership at Rutgers University.

Diabetes Update with Due Considerations in Older Adults: Goals, Medications, and Nutrition Therapy
Speaker Marion Franz, MS, RDN, LD, CDE is a Nutrition Health Consultant. She will provide an overview of diabetes management in older adults, glucose-lowering medications, and expectation of outcomes. Additionally, she will describe evidence to support recommendations for diet and discuss the role of weight loss interventions for type 2 diabetes.
