Dietetics in Health Care Communities
of New Jersey (DHCC of NJ)

This organization is a volunteer group made up of Dietitians/Dietetic Technicians who either live or work in the state of New Jersey.

Our purpose is to establish a regular and frequent mechanism to keep dietitians aware of current issues and information relevant to their work and interests; to provide a greater visibility for the dietitian within the structure of the Acacdemy of Nutrition and Dietetics (AND) and the national level of DHCC.

Our group is a member of the New Jersey Long Term Care Leader's Coalition.                     (NJLTCLC)

Seminar is now scheduled for September 22, 2020.  In recognition of the events surrounding the pandemic, member fee is reduced to $40 and non-member fee is $50.  Next meeting scheduled for Tuesday, September 22nd, 2020.  We hope you can join us! Stay well!

                                   Licensure Update

New Jersey State Dietitian/Nutritionist Licensing Act has been signed by Governor Murphy.  Although it is effective immediately, the scope of practice is effective one year from effective date. The New Jersey Academy is working with the licensing board. The Division of Consumer Affairs is the next step and will be writing the regulatory guidelines. If you have questions, updates will occur through the NJ Academy eblasts or you can contact our legislative chair, Sylvia Lacsina.
