Irritable Bowel Syndrome: A Practical Approach to Reduce Patient’s Symptoms
Returning speaker, Dr. John Bock, DCN, RD, CNSC, will describe the role of the advanced practice RD in providing care for patients with irritable bowel syndrome (IBS). The presentation will summarize the therapies used to treat IBS and offer a more practical approach to assist patients alleviating their symptoms and minimize the need for dietary restriction.

Substance Abuse Nutrition Therapy
Speaker Stephanie Arnold, MS, RDN, LDN, Clinical Nutrition Manager at Caron Treatment Centers will discuss the importance of well-balanced eating in the healing process of recovery. Substance abuse can affect the body’s ability to absorb nutrients and increases nutrient excretion.
