CHANGING CONCEPTS IN THE HEALTH CARE SETTING.
In the morning, Gale Rader, RN, C, MSN, CALA, and CEO of Care Perspectives will speak about the upcoming MDS 3.0. focusing on the key changes that will go into effect October 1, 2010. She will cover new assessment requirements, new time frames for assessment completion and an overview of each section with specific emphasis on areas related to dietitians.
Our afternoon session will be presented by Dr. Janet Reid-Hector, Assistant Director, Clinical Nutrition and Patient Services. Janet will share with us the newest information explaining the relationship between chronic inflammation, sarcopenia it’s impact on nutrition status and the effect on nutrition management decisions
